In this photo are my grandparents, Archimidies Emmanuel Arvanitis born 1896 and Kirgiakitsa Dimitrios Kalaitzis born 1910 on the island of Tenedos, Turkey. This photo was taken in 1927 in Nea Tenedos, Chalkidiki Greece. Both sides of the family left Tenedos 1923.

Included in this photo is Archimidies mother Despoina Avgerinos who is holding his hand and his sister Georgia. Kirgiaki's twin sister Ioulia is behind her with Paraskevi Metrikas and holding her hand is Strategoula Kapessizis. All of the above left Tenedos 1923 and never returned. Eventually Archmidies and Kirgiakitsa children immigrated to Melbourne, Australia. Only one son Emmanuel Arvanitis is still living in Nea Tenedos. Chalikidiki Greece with his family.
